The Veddas.
A Documentary by Daniel Emmerson
During the summer of 2004 I spent ten days in the Mahayangana jungle in Sri Lanka with two translators and a tribe of natives. The documentary film I crafted from the experience has been advertised by Conservation TV and premiered at the University of Plymouth in June 2005. The film is an informative celebration of the tribe, disclosing how they manage to live in the jungle and why they chose to remain indigenous to their homeland.
